SCHEDULE/ITINERARY Schedule for Saturday AND Sundeay

At 1: 30 pm Workshop resumes at 1:30 p.m.

At 3:30 pm By 4:00 p.m. we will head to my favorite afternoon spots for more photography.

At dark Everyone heads out for dinner - to the Gold Mine or into Victoria.
Saturday/Sunday at 7:00 a.m. Coleto Creek Reservoir - We will meet at the Park Office for a briefingFrom there we will go to selected areas to do some early morning macro/bird photography. I will be offering tips and suggestions as we check out the morning photography at some of my favorite spots. Bring your cameras everywhere we go. The best way to learn is to participate in the classroom workshop, ask a lot of questions, then shoot a lot, then critique your morning shooting.
At 10:30 am Begin the classroom session.
At noon We will leave for the Goldmine for lunch. Everyone will pay for their own meals ($8 - $12 for some great country cooking). We will be talking about photography at lunch.
The classroom session of the workshop will cover:
- Photography equipment
- Maximizing your camera for bird photography
- Techniques for shorebird photography
- Composition
- Wide angle photography techniques with shorebirds
- Telephoto techniques
Things to bring:
- Camera equipment (wide angle lens, macro and telephoto lenses, plenty of film or digital memory cards, tripod or monopod, plus extra batteries - bring your camera instruction manual too!)
- Good hiking boots, walking shoes or waterproof beach shoes
- Cool camouflage or earth tone clothing
- Ice chest with water and drinks, fruits and snacks
- Rain gear, windbreakers, jackets if needed
